N4 Gateway Ligte Industriële Park is ‘n nuwe moderne ontwikkeling van 46 ha ligte industriële geboue in die oostelike voorstede van Pretoria.

Sy ligging, op die N4 snelweg wat ook toeganklik is tot die N1 snelweg, Hans Styrijdomweg en die paaie na Bronkhorstspruit, maak dit die ideale ligging vir besighede wat sake doen in Limpopo, Gauteng en Mpumalanga. Toegang en uitgang word 24 uur per dag gekontroleer met aparte draaihekke vir voetgangers, en vang ook die vooraansig van motors met hulle registrasienommerplate vas vir latere identifikasie indien nodig.

Sy ligging op die N4 en Hans Strijdom wisselaar maak dit die ideale ligging om jou besigheid heen te verskuif. Dit, en die feit dat alle erwe in die Industriële Park ten volle gediens word en die sekuriteit van ‘n baie hoë standaard is, het Chempure, maatskappy wat handel dryf in chemiese produkte, gemotiveer om te verskuif na N4 Gateway.

Chempure se werksaamhede sluit in die invoer en verspreiding van chemiese produkte. Hulle het verkies om hul besigheid na die N4 Gateway Industriële Park te verskuif aangesien hulle maklike toegang het tot Gauteng, Mpumalanga en Limpopo provinsies. Litten Street Numbers

illuminable street numbers or illuminated street numbers is a plastic lighted box called the Manorlight. Lighted street numbers help prevent crime and assist in easily fined your residence. Electrically lighted street numbers will soon be enhanced by new solar technology. Illuminated signage for address number now also available in LED to save electricity.

The Manorlight is a registered street number stuck onto a lighted plastic box and is powered by electricity, with an energy-saving bulb inside. Soon our solar lighted street house address numbers will be available to be even more economic and power saving.

These lighted house signs are fitted with an energy saving bulb or LED. Illuminated signage for residential street numbers can be seen at a long distance.

This idea of litten street numbers sarted as early as the late 19′s and have been manufactured for the building industry since 1978. The illuminable plastic box called the Manorlight aims to prevent criminal activities and assist reaction services responding to calls from those who need assistance by cutting the time needed to find addresses.

When the lighted street number or illuminated house number is switched on, the street house number can be seen several metres away. Illuminated numbers can be be linked to your alarm system so that it signal with flashes when your house alarm is activated.

South African authorities have been approached on numerous occasions and were not keen on the idea of lighted house numbers.

In February 2005 the owner of Manorlight Products read a notice in the Government Gazette “made it mandatory to have a clearly visible house number displayed on all housing,” he says, adding that some city councils started enforcing this law by cutting the power to premises without visible street numbers.

Rust de Winter Nature Reserve is a good area to find a range of the common thornveld and broadleaved woodland birds that occur around Pretoria. The dam attracts large numbers of interesting waterbirds, especially in winter. A weekend is recommended, and time should also be spent exploring the localities situated close by Rust de Winter. Around 400 species have been recorded at the dam and surrounding game farms and a summer visit could produce 150 species, while in winter around 100 can be expected. Bird watching

Birding
An excellent general area to start birding is at KwaNdaba Game Lodge with its lofted lookout point. Birds like Burchell’s Starling, Wattled Starling, Great Sparrow, Red-backed Shrike, Lesser Grey Shrike, Crimson-breasted Shrike, Magpie Shrike, Burnt-necked Eremomela, Chestnut-vented Tit-Babbler, Willow Warbler, Marico Sunbird, Brown-crowned Tchagra, Kalahari Scrub-Robin, White-browed Scrub-Robin, White-throated Robin-Chat, Red-breasted Swallow and Pearl-breasted Swallow are common. Southern Pied Babbler, Scaly-feathered Finch, Ashy Tit, Cape Penduline-Tit and Southern White-crowned Shrike are less frequently encountered. Visitors that arrive early enough will find numerous Rufous-cheeked Nightjar on the road in summer.

The grassland areas along the roads may yield Desert Cisticola, Spotted Thick-knee, Rufous-naped Lark and Northern Black Korhaan. The Red-crested Korhaan often runs across the road, or can be heard displaying by day or at night. Rollers include Purple Roller, European Roller and Lilac-breasted Roller. Try the tall, dead trees in summer for African Cuckoo, which also occurs on the hillsides. Emerald-spotted Wood-Dove and Double-banded Sandgrouse may be encountered at the edges of the road. The woodlands near the dam is good for Yellow-throated Petronia, Southern Black Flycatcher, Black Cuckooshrike, Klaas’s Cuckoo (summer) and Golden-breasted Bunting. Grey-headed Bush-Shrike and Grey Tit-Flycatcher are uncommon. Bird watching

At the dam
The entrance gate usually has Yellow-fronted Canary, Black-throated Canary, Pearl-breasted Swallow and resident Striped Kingfisher. Walk down to the dam wall for Striped Pipit, Black-crowned Night-Heron, Common Sandpiper, South African Cliff-Swallow, Familiar Chat and Red-winged Starling. The dense valley holds African Pygmy-Kingfisher. Also keep an eye open for soaring raptors including Lesser Kestrel, Red-footed Falcon and Amur Falcon. Birding
